The most common cheats you'll run into in the game are as follows: aimbots, ESP, and radar cheats. These are the most common hacks that most players use, as they provide a big advantage in the game and are highly sought after by players.

Aimbots are the most noticeable of the cheats you'll run into since a player who has one will take you out of the game almost immediately. They won't miss, and most of their shots will probably be headshots. An aimbot makes you incredibly accurate since you are letting a script handle aiming for you. Since the script has all of the game data and can manipulate your aim as fast as a computer can process data, it has a big advantage over a human. Aimbots are very powerful, but can also be blatant if not used carefully.

ESP cheats draw information on the screen over other players. With ESP you can see exactly where other players are on the map, even behind solid walls, buildings, and terrain. This gives any ESP user a big advantage because they know where their opponents are and can plan accordingly. ESP cheaters are not always easy to notice in the game as when you run into them you may just think they happened upon you or got lucky. Unless you can watch them in a replay looking through a wall, or notice them always following your movement it's hard to separate them from just another regular player. 

ESP also has the benefit of being able to give you more information about an opponent. It can show their current health and shields, or even the direction they are looking in. This can give you a further advantage than just knowing your opponent's position.

Finally, radar cheats give you a top-down view of the game world, letting you know where other players are in a 360-degree area around you. Radar behaves like a minimap, but typically without any actual map. The advantage of radar hacks is that they always show you where opponents are, unlike minimaps that typically only show an indicator when an opponent makes noise, or may only display allies on the map.

With radar, its biggest use is to monitor the area behind you and out of your view. Sometimes opponents can start to move behind you without you noticing, and a minimap can give you that peripheral information to avoid you getting shot in the back.

To get an auto-aim cheat, you will need to download a hack. Aimbots are very complicated, though they might not seem that way at first. There are a lot of custom features you'll want to have access to in any quality aiming cheat, like the ability to set a custom aim key, set the aimbot's field of view, the amount of aim smoothing, alongside other features.

That might take you to google looking for a 'free apex aimbot'. Unfortunately, you aren't likely to find much in terms of free cheats (be careful of what 'free cheats' you download, most are fake or viruses). With Apex using Easy Anti-Cheat for hacking prevention, free cheats are almost non-existent. Instead, your best bet is a private hack like ours, which is kept updated to avoid detection and has a limited userbase to make it more difficult for the game developers to try to detect the software.

When you load up your game hack, you can enable the aimbot through the in-game menu, and configure any settings if needed. As for what it's like to actually aimbot, it goes something like this: You'll see an enemy via the ESP and try to get into a position where they're visible. Then you'll probably aim down your sights at them. If the aimbot is set to activate via your right mouse button, the aimbot will now take over and keep your aim on them. You can start firing and will have much better accuracy than you probably do aiming by hand since as your opponent moves, your aim will adjust automatically to their movement. Most likely you'll take out your opponent with much less ammo than you would normally need if aiming by hand.

In Apex Legends, these hacks work by injecting code into the game, which can then read data stored in your computer's memory, and add and modify functions in the game. Some of this code can then read data about your player character and its position in the game world, rotation, where you are looking, etc, and use this as the basis of how it functions. Then by reading the data of other players and their positions, to put it simply the code can calculate where your crosshair needs to aim to track another player.

If you'd like to code your own aimbot, it's going to be a lot of work. You're likely looking at a couple of years of programming experience to be able to learn to write this type of game cheat from scratch. You'll also have to learn how to evade anti-cheat like EAC if you want to develop a cheat that works in games with more aggressive anti-cheats such as Apex.

To try and curb the number of cheaters in the game, Apex Legends uses EAC as their anti-cheat solution to attempt to ban anyone who hacks in the game. Realistically, this doesn't prevent people from using cheats, since the anti-cheat can only attempt to detect so many cheats at a time, and there are many online communities with their own Apex hacks.

First and foremost, EAC targets the free cheats that are released. This is because these are downloaded many thousands of times and make the biggest target. It's also easier for the game developers to find these themselves and they can start reverse-engineering them immediately.

Against private cheats, Apex could be losing the battle. It's much more difficult for them to detect these private hacks with their own development teams making frequent updates to the software. They still do detect private software, however, so you are never completely safe.

Another way that the developer team tries to take out cheaters is through reviewing in-game reports. If you cheat incredibly blatantly and are obviously aimbotting when a team-mate or opponent is spectating you, then you can expect to be reported, possibly with a video showing your aimbot use. This is one reason we recommend adjusting your cheat settings for 'legit' play, where your aimbot will not be obvious and give away that you might be using hacks.
